That’s right folks. If you were following our logo contest on facebook, you know it is over. We have decided on a winner. We are very pleased, and so thankful for all the amazing entries. It was a really tough decision, but we went with our gut. We will reveal the winner to you soon! (Obviously we have to be creative about it… or it wouldn’t be us!)
For those of you who missed it on facebook, here are the entries for the contest in no particular order at all:
Make sure you sign up for our email list! You’ll get exclusive offers that are NOT SHARED anywhere else!
Do you like contests? Want to win a dozen free cupcakes????
Here’s how!! We need a logo! It has to be professional quality! Design one, send it to TheGrandCupcakery@gmail.com, and we will use our favorite and give the winner a dozen free cupcakes! We will post all of the entries on facebook as we get them so that you all can enjoy this along with us.
Entries due by June 9th. Winner will be announced [tba].
Send us a jpg and psd of the final image. Psd file must have original layers. (We will need to be able to remove the background to order shirts and stuff!) The winning entry will become property of The Grand Cupcakery. The winner gets a dozen regular sized cupcakes of their choice. Each person can enter 3 times.
We do reserve the right to NOT choose a winner.
If you know anyone in the area who does graphic work, please invite them to this event!
In the past 7 days we….
-had the cupcake tasting party.
-made our first dollar.
-were mentioned in the paper for the first time.
-got our first three orders, one of which was HUGE!
It’s been a busy week.
The cupcake tasting party went really well. Poor Carmen was sick that day so she missed out on all the fun. We arrived at 9:30 to set up our booth, and there was a line of excited customers before I (Jenifer) even had time to ice any cupcakes. The worst thing that happened that day was that it was soooooo cold, the icing for the cupcakes was really hard, and that made it impossible to make pretty cupcakes. No one minded though, they still tasted YUMMY!
There was a reporter from the Chronicle Tribune there to interview people about the Downtown Cleanup also taking place that day, and he talked to us for a few minutes about what we were doing. We ended up being featured in the article he wrote about all the events downtown that day.
So excited for this Saturday! From 10 am to 5 pm we will be across from Centrum Mall in Downtown Marion, Indiana handing out free samples to our future clients!!
Here’s how it’s gonna work.
We are going to have a sign up sheet for future coupons and discounts. We will be asking for the names and birthdays of those in your household, as well as an email address to send your coupon to.
As of right now*, the flavors available at the cupcake tasting party will be double chocolate chip with peanut butter icing, banana with peanut butter/chocolate swirl icing, snicker-doodle with cream cheese icing, red velvet oreo with cream cheese icing, amaretto with whipped amaretto icing, and by special request - gluten free chocolate (no icing.)
*This is subject to change, depending on our schedules for the week!
We are so excited to meet all of you and get your feedback on what you think of our cupcakes!!! See you Saturday!
We got this idea from another cupcake blog… It was super difficult so I’m not sure it will be available for orders when we open… And if it is, it will be pretty pricey… but it’s cute still so here is a photo!
